Lima is known as the Gastronomic Capital of Latin America since it gathers the culinary art of the entire country in just one place, as well as some of the best restaurants in the entire world. Depending on your arrival time, you can decide whether to stroll around the city’s most popular districts (Miraflores and Barranco) or simply rest for the next day’s adventure.

On this occasion, you’ll get to explore the first UNESCO World Heritage Site of this itinerary, the Colonial Center of Lima, one of the most visually striking urban sceneries of the country. The old town gathers over 600 historical monuments, each of them with impressive architectural styles, vibrant colors and secrets yet to be told.

Following the itinerary, we have prepared a day full of adventures just for you so you can experience the Peruvian coastside and desert at its fullest. Here you’ll visit Paracas, home to the most biodiverse part of the Peruvian coast, the Ballestas Islands. Also, heading south we’ll visit the Huacachina Oasis, so you can explore the desert on a dune buggy and sandboard before heading out to Nazca.

The Nazca region is home to one of the greatests mysteries of the ancient world, the Nazca Lines, which you’ll get to visit on a 35-min flight over the Pampas de Jumana, just before taking the bus to the White City of Arequipa.

In case you didn’t know, Arequipa is the second-largest city of Peru and comprises the most impressive colonial center in Peru, which you’ll get to visit on a special city tour. The next day, you’ll be bound for Puno, home to the vast Lake Titicaca.

Afterwards, you’ll take the Ruta del Sol to Cusco, a touristic circuit that will take you through the most impressive natural scenery of the Peruvian highlands, while also visiting some archeological sites and colonial towns on the way.

Once in Cusco, you’ll get to know everything about the city and its surroundings, where two important eras of our country collide harmonically in one place before heading to the Sacred Valley of the Incas and Machu Picchu.

But the adventure doesn’t stop there since there’s another region yet to discover. After your experience in the heart of the Inca Empire, you’ll take a flight to Puerto Maldonado so you can finally visit one of the most biodiverse places on Earth, the Tambopata National Reserve.

The famous Inkaterra hotel chain will take you on a full immersion in the lush nature of the Amazon rainforest for two days, just before taking your flight back to Lima!
