Bardock Beer Company

Bardock Beer Company is a beloved brewery in Cusco, now, they make delightful beers for everyone, from casual drinkers to enthusiasts. Joseph Corimaita is the mastermind behind Bardock, who during the pandemic, turned challenges into exciting opportunities for innovation. 

He focused his talents on making unique drinks, which led him to launch “Bardock Beer Company.” He even crafted a special Chicha de Jora whisky! From his kitchen, he produced small batches that quickly caught the attention of top chefs from famous restaurants like Astrid y Gastón, Central, and Maido.

Later, his expertly brewed porter, IPA, pale ale, and red ale impressed them. Joseph’s creativity and passion shine through in every drink he makes! Since then, his brewing dreams have expanded: He launched a new brewery in Urubamba, Sacred Valley, capable of 50,000 liters. 

Bardock now makes three Belgian beers: Wit Bier, Belgian Golden Strong, and Quadrupel, alongside his original creations. You can find Bardock beer in Urubamba, the heart of the Sacred Valley, but you can also buy beers in grocery stores or supermarkets. Try them all!

Barbarian

Barbarian is a shining star in the Peruvian craft beer market. 13 years ago, in 2011 three friends fan of beer wanted to create their own product, so they started making it in a garage.  With over 30 different beer styles crafted each year, Barbarian can be found in 6,500 locations across Peru.

 The talented team of more than 50 members has earned over 50 medals, both internationally and nationally for their outstanding quality. What makes Barbarian truly special is their commitment, as they use the best ingredients and take great care in their brewing process. 

Their creativity shines through in the variety they offer, from classic IPAs to unique experimental brews like sour ales and barrel-aged beers. In 2019, Barbarian joined forces with AB Inbev, the largest brewing company in the world and owner of Backus in Peru.

 However, the founders still run Barbarian’s bars and franchises, ensuring the brand’s original spirit remains intact. Today, Barbarian stands out as one of the most respected craft breweries in Peru, playing a vital role in the local beer scene. 

Their success comes from a strong dedication to craftsmanship, a spirit of innovation, and a relentless focus on quality. Although Backus, the biggest brewery bought the company in 2019, these three friends are involved in logistics and distribution. You can find Barbarian products in supermarkets or in Av. Zenith

Zenith is a charming craft beer brand based in Cusco, founded by the passionate duo Zac and Milka in 2012. They started one of the first artisanal breweries in the area, and their love for brewing shines through in every sip.

 Zenith offers a delightful range of beers that showcase the unique flavors of Andean grains, as they aim to make character-rich beers. These will honor their commitment to quality and Peru’s craft beer culture. A popular bar in Cusco called Norton started offering Zenith’s two draft beer styles. 

It now has five styles and bottled options at various bars and restaurants in Cusco, Lima, and Arequipa. For example, they have a refreshing wheat beer, trigonometría, which is a smooth Pale Ale, or the bold Ausangate IPA, and a rich Porter made with quinoa. They also have limited editions like “La Hinchada Peruana” and “Navidad Ale.””

Zenith is committed to sustainability thanks that their reusable growlers help reduce waste. Customers can enjoy their favorite beers while using them. From a 40-liter setup, Zenith has grown to produce 4000 liters per month playing a key role in Peru’s craft beer journey.

Cerveceria del Valle

Cervecería del Valle Sagrado was born from an idea in 2007 when Joe, Juan, and Louisa traveled from Eugene, Oregon, to Vancouver, British Columbia. Today, they are fulfilling the dream of having a respected microbrewery that not only produces high-quality beers but also supports the local community.

Cervecería del Valle Sagrado opened its doors in Ollantaytambo, Cusco in 2014. They won the award “Best Craft Brewery” in Peru in 2016 and 2017 at the Latin American Craft Beer Cup. Cerveceria del Valle also has won many awards in Argentina, Chile, Brazil, and Ecuador.

This brewery offers a variety of around 20 beers, each with unique flavors inspired by local culture and destinations. Some notable beers include: Inti Punku, Be Kind, Apu Veronica, and Ausangate. Cerveceria del Valle operates daily from noon to 8 PM and provides food options to complement their craft beers.

You can find it in Cusco City, all the towns of the Sacred Valley, and even in Lima.
