But if you want to do it, it´s necessary to reserv your place in advance (we recommend with at least 6 months), because there is a maximum number of participants per day and the place sell out quickly. Another wonderful trail, one of the most beautiful in South America is the Salkantay trail, that also takes you to Machu Picchu. This is na alternative trail for those who want a challenge and awesome trekking experience. The advantage is that the Salkantay trail has no limito f people. This way is a little larger, taking 5 days, 3 nights at camps and 1 nigh at a hotel in Aguas Calientes. During the whole trek the tourist will be immersed in the wild nature, passing through small villages and be close to the andean cultura, crossing snowy places, rivers, valleys and mountains.
